Reactive Dogs

Cost: $150.00 per day, tax included
Location: 1070 Wain Road

Does your dog lunge and bark at the end of the leash when he sees another dog approach? Is he frightened of other dogs or people? Does he become overly aggressive in certain situations? Do you have a rescue dog that is proving difficult to rehabilitate?

Hundreds of dog owners are dealing with these issues. We have seen a 50% increase in the last 5 years of reactive dogs needing rehabilitation.

Julie Carter has trained hundreds of reactive dogs to become well-behaved and manageable, and live happy, healthy, active lives beyond the four walls of your home.

Imagine not feeling stressed when you take your dog for a walk. Our Reactive Dog Rehabilitation Program gets great results for building trust and non aggressive behaviour in your dog. In our Program, you will learn to understand the underlying issues causing your dog’s reactivity and to be calm and assertive as you help your dog overcome those issues.  He will become relaxed and well-behaved so that you can enjoy your dog, knowing you have helped him to live life to the fullest.

"West Coast Canine Academy has transformed several dogs we could no longer take due to their escalating behavioural issues which compromised the safety and well-being of our K9 guests. After completing rehabilitation with WCCA, these dogs have been welcomed back with Julie's approval and continue to be model citizens in our K9 family." — Tracy Wilkinson, K9 Country Cottage, Doggie Daycare and Boarding

Please note, we are very busy with this program and suggest getting on the waiting list as soon as problems arise.
